Thuong river
Thuong river has another name Nhat Duc river is a big river flowing through Lang Son, Bac Giang, Hai Duong provinces and is a tributary of Thai Binh river.
Thuong river originates from Chi Lang district of Lang Son province, the river flows through Bac Giang town and finishes at Pha Lai township, Hai Duong province.
On the territory of Bac Giang province, Thuong river flows through the districts of Lang Giang, Yen The, Tan Yen, Bac Giang town and Yen Dung. Thuong river has a total length 157km, basin area 6.640 square kilometers.
In feudal times. when the troops were sent to protect frontier in Lang Son their families were allowed to farewell at the river and the name Thuong was given to this river.
