Ba Chua Kho temple
Ba Chua Kho temple is a famous temple in Bac Ninh province. Ba Chua Kho temple is located 30 km from Hanoi capital, the temple is known as a one of the most sacred place to pray for good luck and weath in business. According to legend, Ba Chua Kho (Queen Treasury) was a hardworking woman. After her marriage to King Ly, she asked her husband to allow her to meet the people of Vu Ninh to clear the area. She founded 72 villages. She also guarded the food stock, maintained military support during the battle on Nhu Nguyet river ( currently Cau River) in 1076. After she died, local people set up the temple in dedication of her contributions. Every year the festival of Ba Chu Kho temple attracts thousands of people across the country to worship and pray for fortune, borrow money for the coming year.
