Ban Gioc waterfalls in Cao Bang
Located right on the borderline between Vietnam and China, Ban Gioc has long been a point of disputing of the two countries. The falls belongs to Trung Khanh district, 90 km from Cao Bang Town and about 2 hours driving. In rainy season, The waterfalls' echo can be heard from faraway.
From a height of 30m the volume of water flows down the big limestone steps. Between waterfall is a big stone scope covered with trees spliting the river into 3 flows which that look like white silk stripes. Day and night water flows in torrents down the flat rocks making a white curtain of white dust over a large area, on sunny days, rainbows can be seen magically over the water, at the foot of the falls is Quy Son river with a wide surface, flat as a mirror, on the two sides are carpets of green grass and immense forests
