General De Castrie's command bunker was built in the centre of Dien Bien Phu stronghold of French colonial troops in the battle Dien Bien Phu, the bunker is about 1km northwest of A1 hill.
The commander bunker was 20 meters long and 8 meters wide with a passage, 2 doors at both ends, the bunker has 4 chambers, used as a residence and workplace. At the moment there is an iron table when general De Castrie and his entourage worked.
The structure of the bunker was surrounded by a defense system of crisscrossed wires, four corners are four tanks and on the left is the artillery, this is a covered trench connecting to the bunker on A1 hill. The French troops used sandbags and plywood to build trenches.
The command bunker now carefully protected against the destruction of time. Above the tunnel is a concrete picture of about 6m2, portraying general De Castrie and entourage surrendered Vietnam army.
