Pha Din pass
Pha Din pass is on national highway 6 from Hanoi to Dien Bien province, it is located on the border between Dien Bien and Son La province. Pha Din in the local language means Heaven and Earth and it has another name Heaven Gate pass. Pha Din is the longest mountain pass in Vietnam with total length 32 km.
The terrain of ther pass is very rugged, winding up and down hill all the time, on one side is the sheer cliffs, on one side is deep abyss coupled with many dangerous bends. Pha Din, is a fascinating destination for travelers to northwest Vietnam.
