Perfume pagoda
Perfume Pagoda is a folk way to mention Huong Son area, a complex of religion, culture in Vietnam including dozens of Bhuddist temples, some dedicated to Gods. Centre part of Perfume pagoda is in Huong Son commue, 70km from Hanoi. The most important part of Perfume Pagoda is Huong Tich grotto.
Perfume pagoda was built in large scale in late 17th century, it was then destroyed in French war in 20th century and rebuilt in 1988 by Venerable Thich Vien Thanh.
Perfume Pagoda festival is one of the biggest festivals in north Vietnam, the festival lasts 3 months starting on 6th Lunar January every year. Thousands of Bhuddists and pilgrims pay a visit to Perfume Pagoda this time.
