Thay Pagoda
Chua Thay or Master pagoda is located at the foot of Sai Son mountain of Quoc Oai district, about 20km southwest of Hanoi. Thay pagoda was built in Dinh dynasty, it is one of the most famous pagodas in Hanoi. In the early days it was only a small shrine where Great monk Tu Dao Hanh led his religious life. Thay pagoda was then rebuilt and expanded by King Ly Nhan Tong as a complex of religious buildings.
