La river is a tributary of the Lam river, 12.5 km in length running through Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh Province. La river is the confluence of the two rivers Ngan Pho (from Huong Son district) and Ngan Sau (from Huong Khe district) at Tam Soa port. In turn it confluences with Ca river running from Nghe An to form the Lam river between Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
