Mao Dien temple of literature
Mao Dien temple of Literature is located in Cam Giang district, about 40 km from Hanoi city and 15km west of Hai Duong town, this is the worship place of Confucius and 8 great teachers of Vietnam in feudal time.
According to historic documents, Mao Diem temple of literature was built in Le dynasty in 15th century. Under Mac dynasty in 16th century, due to political unstability in the capital Thang Long and 4 examinations were held in Mao Dien.
In the wars against the French and America, Mao Dien temple of literature was seriously damaged, it has been restored several times since then.
The festival of Mao Dien is organized in Lunar February and August every year.
