Cyclo (Rickshaw)
Cyclo or Rickshaw or Three wheel cycle is a special mode of tranport that used to be very popular in Hanoi during 1980s when most people traveled around by bicycles. People used cyclo to carried cargo, food and people. During that time cyclo can be seen everywhere from bus station, markets, narrow streets and backlanes. Up until 1990s when more and more motorbikes appeared on the streets of Hanoi cyclos were gradually replaced by other means of transport. Due to it's inconvenience for traffic cyclos were then prohibited. Today cyclos are mostly used for tourism, visitors can hire a cyclo and travel around in the centre are of Hanoi and the Old Quarter.
