Women museum
Vietnam Women's Museum (under the Women's Union of Vietnam) is located at 36 Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hanoi. It is the repository of artifacts on the history, culture and art related to women in Vietnam. The museum was inaugurated on November 1995. With a display area of around 1,200 square metres, the Vietnam Women's Museum introduction includes five topics:
- Vietnam Women in ethnic communities Vietnam
- Vietnam women in the cause of building and protecting the country
- Women's Union, Vietnam and the struggle for women's liberation
- Women's culture of Vietnam through the traditional craft products
- Apparel women of ethnic Vietnam
Vietnam Women's Museum is not just a place to study and preserve the heritage of women in Vietnam, but also a center of cultural exchange activities of the Vietnam Women with international Women. A large statue of the museum entitled "Vietnam Mother" 3.6 m high is a work of artist Phu Cuong.
