Mau temple
Mau Temple, also known as Hoa Duong Linh Tu is located in Hung Yen town, within the Pho Hien relic, about 55km from Hanoi capital.
Mau Temple is located on a land of around 3000m2, facing the southwest direction, in front of it is Ban Nguyet (Crescent) lake, a little farther is the dike of the Red River. Mau temple is dedicated to Queen Duong Quy Phi in China, the temple was built from the reign of King Tran Nhan Tong, after several times of repair the Mau temple still retains it's longstanding, ancient features in every brick, the roof of the temple or statue. According to legend there is sacred a bed in the temple used to be a resting place of Queen Duong Quy Phi.
Festival of Mau temple is held from 10th to 15th on Lunar March, there are usually folk cultural activities such as processions, lion dance, dragon dance, very solemn procession through the streets.
