Xich Dang temple of literature
Xich Dang temple of lieterature is one of the 6 remaining temples in Vietnam, it was built in early 17th century under Le dynasty with a small scale. Till 1839 under King Minh Mang the temple was rebuilt on the foundation of Nguyet Duong pagoda.
The vestiges remaining to this day are two stone towers. In 1992, Xich Dang Temple was classified by the Ministry of Culture and Information as a national cultural and historical monument.
This is the place where Confucius was worshiped, who was dubbed the "master of all life" and Chu Van An, the exemplary teacher of Vietnam in the Tran dynasty.
