Nam Na river
Nam Na river flows through Phong Tho and Sin Ho districts in Lai Chau province before confluence with Da river, this is the longest river in Lai Chau province and is an important waterway linking 2 provinces Dien Bien and Lai Chau.
The name Nam Na means "water from rice fields". Nam Na River originates from the small stream from China, to Ma Lu Thang border gate in Lai Chau it confluences with the Pa Nam Cum starting it's journey on Vietnam land. In wet season it is quite a spectacular sight to drive along the river with magnificent scenery of mountain, river and forest.
