Lang Son church
Lang Son cathedral is also known as Cua Nam Cathedral is a big church located in Lang Son town. This is the cathedral of the diocese of Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces.
In 1923, Monsignor Cothonay Chieu began building the cathedral under the drawing of priest Brebion, Lang Son cathedral was located next to the central train station in the town of Lang Son. Priest Lecroat (SJ), Vatican's envoy laid the first stone started the construction. The church was completed in 1924 and solemnly blessed with the presence of the chief priest Perier.
The years of war have caused severe damage to Lang Son cathedral, the church collapsed in 1969, leaving only a lonely tower. The 1979 border war in Vietnam - China, the tower was also shattered.
