Hoang A Tuong palace
Hoang A Tuong palace or Hmong King castle is a residential building of a rich and powerful man under French rule. The palace was built by Hoang Yen Chao, father of Hoang A Tuong in 1914 and completed in 1921.
Legend has it that before the mansion was started, Hoang A Tuong invited a famous Chinese Feng Shui artist to find location for the castle. Nearly 100 years of existence, the moss-covered house still stands prominently in Bac Ha town.
With an area of 10.000 square meters on a flat hill, the building was huge that time, large enough to accommodate the whole Hoang A Tuong family and French colonial consultants. Hoang A Tuong palace is really a wonder in Bac Ha plateau.
