Ta Phin monastery
Ta Phin monastery can be found in Ta Phin village, about 12 km from Sapa town. The monastery has been abandoned for a long time but still retains misterious beauty with elegant French colonial architecture.
This ancient monastery is situated at the foot of the mountain, which was built in 1942. It used to be the practice of 12 Catholic nuns. In 1945, due to the war situation, the nuns left for Hanoi and Ta Phin monastery was left unattended until today.
