Co Chat pagoda
Co Chat pagoda is located in Phuong Dinh commune, Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province. Based on the architecture and according to the local people, the temple was built long ago and was expanded over time. Although there are no records of the construction, but at the gate and the palace interior there are many wood carvings of the post Le dynasty. The temple has been repaired several times and the last three chapels of the temple after the altar was built in dedication of saint Tran Hung Dao under King Tu Duc (1862)
At present, there are 8 ordinances of feudal dynasties. The awards recognize the merits of three historical figures: Nguyen Cong Tham, Nguyen Cong Van, Nguyen Cong Pham.
Today, Co Chat pagoda still retains the traditional festival in Lunar March every year. This is the cultural exchange of the local people, also the opportunity for the descendants of the homeland working in remote places to visit the countryside, this is also a place to contribute to the movement to preserve cultural identity.
