Lan Chau island in Cua Lo town, Nghe An province. Lan Chau island is just 100m from the shore. When the tide goes down the island is connected to the shore, local people call it Len Chau. Lan Chou Island is shaped like a giant toad stretching out to sea. On the island there are two large caves where the artillery were placed to protect Hon Ngu island and Cua Hoi mouth.
