Ba Thuoc district
Ba Thuoc is a mountainous district of Thanh Hoa province, 115 km west of Thanh Hoa town. Ba Thuoc district borders Hoa Binh province to the north, Quan Son to the west and Cam Thuy to the east.
The natural area of Ba Thuoc district is 777.2 km2, population: 96,300 people (2004). The ethnic groups include Muong, Thai, Kinh, ...in which the Kinh accounts for majority however are not native but migrants from the upstream region such as in Hoang Hoa, Thieu Hoa, Vinh Loc districts under the new economic migration program of the State or people who resettled.
