Tan Trao historical site
Tan Trao historical site is located northeast of Son Duong district in a small valley sheltered by high mountains and immense forests. Tan Trao historical iste is 41km northwest of Tuyen Quang town and about 150km from Hanoi. Tan Trao was a revolutionary base of Vietnam communists before the August revolution.
Tan Trao is a new name, which was combined from two commnunes Hong Thai and Tan Lap in 1945. Tan Trao is located in the basin of Day river, the site has a total area 2.500 hectares with 177 relics. With special historical significance, Tan Trao was recognized as a historicalsite of national level.
