La Pan Tan
La Pan Tan is a remote commune in Mu Cang Chai district, La Pan Tan is famous for paddy terraces that attract a lot of nature lovers and photographers every year in harvest seasons.
La Pan Tan village has 200 families with around 800 people, most are H'mong, the road to La Pan Tan is difficult and muddy however very spectacular. People of La Pan Tan live by cultivation, this used to be a "hot spot" as people grew opium and up to 80% people in the village were addicted. In recent years La Pan Tan has become a popular destination for bike travelers.
